Production area
The production of Chianti La Pieve D.O.C.G. originates from company’s vineyards, all-organic, that are located on hills with same name in Montaione country, in the province of Florence, about at 350 metres above sea level.
Soil composition
Medium texture, deep, rich in schistes and marls.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-picked, destemmed and a cold maceration for some hours is then given to them. A maceration on their skins follow for approximatly 3 weeks. The vinification is made in vetrified cement tanks, the wine then is aged for at least 6 months in bottle before being sold.

Colour
Intense ruby red.
Bouquet
It’s direct, the aroma has prominent cherry and blackberry fruit, with underlying hints of forest floor.
Palate
The palate reveals a juicy, lively and inviting body, followed by a pleasantly clear finish.
Alcohol content
14% vol.
Tasting
It pairs well with starter of cold cuts and cheese, pasta with sauces, roasted meat, elaborate dishes and pizzas with sauces and flavored condiments.
Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C
